8 Best Disneyland Hotels With Free Parking (That Don’t Suck) – With Map

Planning a little getaway to sunny Southern California for a little magic in your life? Hands down, one of the most popular reasons to visit Anaheim is to visit Disneyland!

Disneyland is already the happiest place on earth, but a Disneyland trip does not come cheap. One of your biggest expenses will be the hotel you choose to stay at.

Staying at a hotel within walking distance of the Disney parks not only gives you the convenience of being able to head back to your hotel in the middle of the day as you please, but it also means you’ll be saving money from NOT needing to park your car within the Disney parking lots. You can simply leave your car at the hotel and enjoy getting to the parks on foot!

But do you know what could make your entire experience even better? NOT having to pay an extra $20+ per night for parking at your hotel!

The sad thing is, there are currently tons of hotels in the Disneyland and Anaheim Convention Center area that charge guests for overnight parking. It doesn’t make any sense, but they’ve gotta do what they need to do to stay in business, I guess.

But all hope is not lost because there are a select few hotels near Disneyland that offer free parking for guests. Some even offer free breakfast! A true double win!

After researching the best Disneyland hotels with free parking for my various weekend trips over the years, I’ve drilled it down to the best of the best.

Not only do these hotels offer free parking that’ll save you loads of money during your vacation, but they’re also all within walking distance from the parks! Best of all, some of them on this list even come with complimentary balanced breakfasts.

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, here are the best hotels at Disneyland with free parking.

How much do other Disneyland hotels charge for parking?

Checking for those hidden parking costs is the #1 thing we do before booking a hotel in the Disneyland area!

We may LOVE a hotel chain, but if we find that they’re charging $30 per night for parking (we’re talking about you, Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim), it’s a hard “no” for us!

Parking fees at hotels around the Disneyland Resort area can vary widely based on factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating or how “nice” it is, and specific policies if it’s a chain hotel. While there’s a chance prices have increased since the time of writing, here’s a general overview of what you might expect:

On-site Disney Hotels

Hotels that are part of the Disneyland Resort, such as the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, typically charge a daily parking fee for both self-parking and valet parking. These fees can range from around $25 to $35 per night.

Off-site Hotels Near Disneyland

Hotels located off-site from the Disneyland Resort area, but still within a reasonable walking distance, often charge parking fees as well. Honestly, it’s getting harder and harder to find hotels that don’t charge!

The parking fees for these hotels can vary significantly depending on the hotel’s quality and proximity to the resort. On average, you might encounter parking fees in the range of $10 to $30 per night for off-site hotels.

Think about it — if you stay at a Disneyland hotel for 3 nights, you could be paying an extra $90-100 in parking fees! That’s money you could be spending IN the park on churros and turkey legs!

TAKEAWAY: The best course of action is to find a hotel that offers cheap, if not free parking (and free breakfast too if you don’t mind complimentary breakfast buffets). This will help make your vacation so much more affordable.

How much is parking at the Disneyland parking lots?

At the time of writing, the parking fees at the official Disneyland Resort parking lots were as follows:

Standard Parking:

  • Cars and motorcycles: $30 per day

Preferred Parking: (closer proximity to elevators and escalators)

  • Cars and motorcycles: $50 per day

Oversized Vehicle Parking:

  • Oversized vehicle, motor home or tractor (without trailer): $35 per day
  • Bus or tractor (with extended trailer): $40 per day

It’s important to note that parking fees can change over time, and rates may vary during peak seasons or special events.

Before visiting the Disneyland Resort, I recommend checking the official Disneyland Resort website for the most current information on parking fees and policies.

What Is The ART Shuttle?

Many of the hotels in this post have done away with their free private shuttle services. Many of them are served by the ART bus now. Personally we find the ART bus to be such a better deal than driving to Disneyland and paying that steep daily fee for parking.

The ART bus, also known as the Anaheim Resort Transportation, is a public transportation system that serves the Anaheim resort area in California. It’s designed to provide convenient transportation options to and from the Disneyland parks.

But it doesn’t just serve Disneyland. Visitors and residents can use ART to travel to and from popular attractions, hotels, and other destinations within the resort district, including Disneyland Resort, the Anaheim Convention Center, and various hotels.

How it works

The ART operates a network of routes that connect major hotels, attractions, and destinations in the Anaheim resort area. The buses run on fixed routes, making scheduled stops at various locations. This system allows passengers to easily access key points of interest without needing to rely solely on personal vehicles or other modes of transportation.

Features

  • Frequency: ART begins its daily service 60 minutes prior to the opening time of main Anaheim destinations and operates its scheduled fixed routes every 25 minutes. Service concludes 30 minutes after the closing of Anaheim’s destinations.
  • Accessibility: The buses are designed to be accessible to all passengers, including those with mobility challenges. Many shuttles are equipped with ramps and other accessibility features.
  • Lots of ticket options: Passengers can purchase various ticket options for the ART Shuttle, including single-ride tickets, one-day tickets, multi-day passes, and family passes.

Cost

The cost of using the ART bus varies based on the type of ticket you purchase and the duration of your stay. At the time of writing:

  • One-Way Fare: Adults $4.00 | Children $1.50 | Senior $1.50
  • One-Day Fare: Adults $6.00 | Children $2.50 | Senior $2.50
  • Three-Day Passes: Adults $16.00 | Children $3.50 | Senior $5.50
  • Five-Day Passes: Adults $25.00 | Children $5.50 | Senior $8.50

Where To Buy ART Tickets

One, three, and five-day passes as well as One-Way fares are available for instant purchase on the A-Way WeGo App.

For physical tickets, you can easily buy them at the hotel and kiosks in the area too. They’re also at the Bus Tickets and Information window located at ARTIC.

Where To Buy Discounted Disneyland Tickets

Still need to buy Disneyland tickets?  Sure, you can buy them at the gate, but then you’d be paying full price. We like to buy discounted Disneyland tickets from either our workplace discount portals or from Undercover Tourist.

If you don’t have a workplace discount portal offering discounted Disney tickets, then Undercover Tourist is your best bet.

Undercover Tourist is the trusted name for discounted theme park tickets. Depending on how many days you visit the parks, you can save up to $149 per ticket with them!
