Some people judge Las Vegas as a place where adults party and make no place for children or families. Luckily, this is not true, and families are more than welcome!
If you’re planning a family trip to Las Vegas, especially in the spring/summer months when the sun is out and about, you’re probably looking to spend some time in the water. Since many hotels come with their own pools, you’re going to want to consider pool amenities when choosing a hotel to book.
If you’re staying with relatives or at an Airbnb with no pool, you’re probably looking for a waterpark or publicly accessible pool.
In both these cases, we’ve got you covered. So, which are the best pools in Las Vegas for families? Let’s dive in to find out!
Don’t have time to read the whole post? Our top recommendations are Mandalay Bay Resort and MGM Grand Hotel. Both have pool complexes that feature a massive lazy river and multiple pools. Mandalay Bay pulls out on top because it’s got a sandy beach and wave pool, too!

10 Best Pools In Las Vegas For Families
Table of Contents
1. Mandalay Bay Resort
TWE RECOMMENDED CHOICE
Mandalay Bay Beach at the Mandalay Bay Resort is an 11-acre aquatic playground that invites you to sun, swim, splash, and relax on your own terms.
Although the Mandalay Bay Resort offers a few areas restricted to people younger than 21 (such as the top-optional Moorea Beach Club), there is more than enough entertainment and water activites for all other age groups! What is nice about Mandalay Bay is that it offers a little beach oasis, right in the middle of the desert – perfect for a family outing.
The 1.6 million gallon wave pool will give you that open ocean feel, the lagoon is perfect for lounging, and the massive lazy river is available for you and your family to enjoy on the inner tubes (you can either bring your own or buy an overpriced one there).
If you or the little ones have happened to work up an appetite from all the sun and swim, you can enjoy a bite to eat next to the beach at one of the many food and grill bars available.
People rave about the pool area (it’s one of the best in all of Las Vegas!), hotel cleanliness, and friendly service throughout the whole resort. Despite it being the southernmost hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, it’s still a really convenient and affordable hotel option.
NOTE: Mandalay Bay Beach is available to hotel guests only. You might want to book a night or two at the hotel to ensure you get to enjoy every aspect of the hotel, beach and pool areas included! Guests at the Four Seasons Las Vegas and the Delano Las Vegas also have access to this pool complex.
2. Golden Nugget Pool
The Golden Nugget Hotel offers something unique you can only dream of finding in Las Vegas – an aquarium built under and through the hotel!
But the best thing is still coming – you can actually take a super tube ride through a 200,000-gallon shark tank aquarium — viewing the sharks through the glass encasing of the 30-foot water slide ride. Now tell me, what kid wouldn’t love this?
Even if you choose to opt out of the slide, the Tank Pool will bring pleasure to the entire family. For those that might not feel comfortable taking the ride can still swim and view the fish through the glass barrier from within the pool!
The Tank Pool (all ages) and HideOut (21+) pool complexes also feature 17 private cabana rentals over three separate floors.
Hotel guests can access The Tank for free, but outside visitors will need to pay a fee to enter.
3. MGM Grand Pool Complex
The desert oasis of Las Vegas meets a lush, tropical island here at the MGM Grand Hotel. The pool at the MGM Grand hotel will whisk you away to an island experience with 6.5 acres of pool fun.
At the MGM Grand, you will have the options of a lazy river, several pools to relax in, and waterfall views, all of which are surrounded by picturesque palm trees oozing island vibes!
You can enjoy the views by going for a brisk walk, following the route alongside the bridges crossing the pools, and enjoying a snack at one of the restaurants available. You can also rent inflatable rafts for kids to enjoy while you relax with a spa treatment. Win-win for both of you.
Private cabanas, cocktail service, and a seasonal poolside restaurant are a few of the other things to expect.
4. The Mirage Hotel & Casino Pool
The Mirage Hotel & Casino pool area allows you to dive into an oasis in Las Vegas. Two of these pools intertwine to bring you the most beautiful pools in Las Vegas. It features waterfalls you can swim under, relaxing lagoons, and pathways the whole family will enjoy.
Bordering the two tropical pools and spas are private cabanas, majestic waterfalls, lots of chaise lounges to relax in, and an outdoor café.
At Paradise Cafe, you can start your day with a light breakfast or take a break from swimming to explore the tropical cocktail list and savor a delicious lunch under the swaying palm trees.
The three waterslides will give the kids an increase in all the things they can do while the adults enjoy the Jacuzzi. The hotel also has excellent reviews, and you won’t regret booking it for a few nights during your stay in Las Vegas!
5. The Luxor Hotel Pools
The Luxor offers four enormous pools that total 19,000 square feet, and the chance of overcrowding is slim. Kids can enjoy splashing around the water, waterfalls, and fountains while parents lounge around and enjoy the pyramid view.
One of the pools has a walk-in area where you and your baby or toddler can enjoy the water. This walk-in pool is close to the bar, and mom, dad, and grandma can take turns swimming with the toddlers and having a cold delight at the bar.
The pool is only accessible to those residing at the hotel. Outsiders can pay a fee to enjoy the pool area, which will only be available between May and September. Therefore, booking a night at the hotel and enjoying a full day at the water for free would be best!
6. Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Pool
Visitors to the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino probably stay here mostly because of the awesome water playground and pool area. Water slides give kids a full day’s pleasure, and the kiddies pool is safe for the younger children. The scenery is quite tranquil too, with palm trees and different colored flowers hugging the pool area.
The pool area is available all year round, and the hotel and the water area reviews are great. Unfortunately, only guests at the Flamingo hotel may use the pool area, but that is a small price to pay for the excitement and fun the family will have.
Lucky for you, a stay at the Flamingo Hotel won’t set you back too much as it’s quite affordable. We will say, the hotel accommodations really aren’t all that, but the pool, the onsite amusement park, and the shockingly good steakhouse, may be worth it.
7. Splash Zone Pool At The Circus Circus Hotel
The fun never stops at the splash zone pool; for kids with an abundance of energy, this is the pool to visit. Guests of all ages are catered to, with two pools, three slides, and a splash pad in the Circus-Circus Hotel water area.
Specifically, The Splash Zone and Pool feature a phenomenal 50-foot water slide, a splash pad, water canons, spill buckets, rain trees, two pools, and whirlpools. So much fun!
The slides have height restrictions (heights above 42” and 48”, respectively), but those that don’t meet the mark can enjoy the endless water-filled fun at the splash pad and be ready to get drenched in water.
Only guests at the hotel can enjoy the pool amenities, so if you want to get in on the fun, you’ll want to reserve a room here for a night or two. With an indoor amusement park, you might have to schedule a few nights at this hotel to get to all the fun they have to offer!
And don’t worry, this is one of the most budget-friendly hotels on the entire Las Vegas Strip!
8. Cowabunga Bay Water Park
The Cowabunga Bay Water Park is the place to be in the summer months, and what better way to spend some time in the sun than with the family at a waterpark? The entire family will enjoy the outing with adult-only slides, separate slides for kids, and a kid-friendly pool area for babies and toddlers.
Most of the exhilarating rides have a height requirement of 42” or 48” because these rides are pretty extreme. However, there is also a wave pool and lazy river with a few surprises that are perfect for those kids that are not allowed to ride the extreme rides.
The kiddies’ area has a pool with a few individual slides they can use with a parent or sibling to introduce them to the water and rides. The Pinata Falls playground is filled with fun water activities and slides for young and old to enjoy together. The wave pool adds to the fun for those who are not into rides and only want to swim.
All in all, this is a great place for the whole family to cool off if you’re not interested in booking a room at a Las Vegas hotel.
9. Tahiti Village Resort
Tahiti Village Resort is renowned for its long Lazy River and its Tahitian-themed pool area–complete with sand beach entry! In fact, Tahiti Village has been named Best Strip Hotel Pool by Las Vegas locals for 3 years in a row.
So what about it makes it so great? Well for starters, it boasts one of Las Vegas’ longest lazy rivers that also allows you to encounter four beautiful waterfalls along your float journey. On top of that, there are complimentary Lazy River tubes for all resort guests!
Lastly, the sand entry area makes for a really unique experience, especially for the younger ones who want to build sand castles.
When you’re not busy floating away in the river, there are also 2 tiki-themed bars to grab refreshments from as well as two hot tubs – one exclusively for adults, the other for the entire family.
Please note, the entire pool & Lazy River area are exclusive to Tahiti Village guests and a valid room key must be present to gain entry.
10. Desert Breeze Water Park
Desert Breeze Aquatic Center houses a smaller water park and pool that’s perfect for younger kids and smaller ones. Best of all, it’s one of the most budget-friendly options on this list! With daily admission fees of $3 for adults and $2 for kids, you really can’t beat it.
Despite its smaller size, several fun-filled activities will keep everyone entertained. A water beach entry, two slides, and a play structure are situated within the water, making it the perfect location for children.
Other attractions at Desert Breeze Aquatic Center include a children’s play zone for when the kids get tired of all the water fun and an indoor swimming pool.
The outdoor water fun is only open during summer, but the indoor swimming pool is open year-round. Before visiting the indoor pool, phone ahead to ensure it is open, as management sometimes rents the pool out for private functions.
Pro Tip: If you’re looking for outdoor fun at the Clark County aquatic pools all summer long, consider getting Season Passes, which can be purchased at any Clark County Community Center or Aquatic Center. There are so many of them — many of which have indoor pools, outdoor pools, and mini waterparks too!
