Glamping Near Yosemite: 8 Places For A Luxurious Stay

If you’re looking for a unique way to experience Yosemite National Park without roughing it too much, I’ve got some great recs for you.

As someone who’s made the trip from the Bay Area to Yosemite at least once a year since I first embraced the outdoors in the 2010s (honestly, it never gets old), I’ve noticed how the accommodations around the park have leveled up in recent years.

Luxury glamping has become part of the experience (that’s right… no more Curry Village for us!), and it’s such a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while still feeling pampered.

Finding a spot that balances comfort and nature isn’t always easy around Yosemite, but there are some absolute gems if you know where to look. Think cozy cabins tucked into the woods or sleek tents with king-size beds and private bathrooms—yes, really!

These places make it so you can spend your days hiking Half Dome or wandering through Mariposa Grove, then come back to a comfy bed, a fire pit, and maybe even a glass of wine under the stars.

Here are a few of my favorite luxury glamping spots near Yosemite that’ll make your trip feel extra special. Trust me, they’re worth it!

Under Canvas Yosemite

Groveland, CA | Closest to Big Oak Flat entrance

Under Canvas Yosemite Deluxe Tent

If you’re a national park lover, the Under Canvas brand needs no introduction. Under Canvas has LONG been on our bucket lists for places like Moab, Zion, and Yellowstone. In 2025, they finally opened their first California location.

Under Canvas Yosemite sits on 85 acres of forested land, just 10 minutes from Yosemite National Park’s Big Oak Flat entrance. The property offers glamping tents with king-size beds, plush linens, and private bathrooms stocked with organic bath products.

You’ll find a main lobby tent with a café, lounge areas, and West Elm furnishings, plus amenities like USB battery packs, nightly fires with s’mores, and on-site dining featuring locally sourced, seasonal meals.

The YARTS shuttle stop is within walking distance for easy access to Yosemite, and the staff can help plan activities like live music, morning yoga, and kids’ programs. Needless to say, it’s a comfortable, nature-immersed base for exploring the park!

Sierra Sky Ranch

Oakhurst, CA | Closest to the South Entrance of the park

Sierra Sky Lodge - Yosemite National Park

Outside the park, one of my favorite glamping-like lodges is Sierra Sky Ranch in Oakhurst.

Sierra Sky Ranch in Oakhurst is an awesome hotel for people coming from the south or southwest of California. The hotel is closest to the South Entrance of the park, which is accessed via Highway 41.

Though it is further away from the park entrance, I find that this historic ranch is one of the nicer hotels in the area! It’s practically like glamping, but with your own walls and additional creature comforts too.

The rooms are impeccably decorated with ranch-inspired decor and the hardwood used throughout the property really warms up the lodge’s atmosphere. In terms of bed sizes, you can choose between king, queen, or double bed rooms.

There are such cozy common areas here and the rooms are offered at super-affordable prices!
